Playback on the couple's phone

The grandparents sit at the kitchen table with a tablet between the teacups. momentake plays the wedding film in the browser. You do not ask them to install an app or create an account. A transfer link on that tablet starts a download or opens a page for that one send. On the gallery, the grandparents see the wedding film, and the mother can open the same link next month. She does not have to search the florist thread for a notice from Sunday. The grandfather asks for the vows after tea, and she opens the gallery.

Your logo, the footer, and the domain

You place your logo on the gallery on Free, Basic, Pro, and Max, and the video carries no watermark. The footer reads "made with momentake". You hide that footer on Max, and on Free, Basic, and Pro the footer stays on the page. Pro and Max include a custom domain. Free and Basic keep the gallery on the address momentake gives you.

Ultimate can put a brand on a transfer page. That page is the send. The couple sees your logo on the gallery before the film starts, including on Free. A custom domain on Pro or Max puts the film on an address you own, and the grandparents read your name in the browser bar.

Password, expiry, and downloads

You set a password and an expiry date on the gallery. After that date, momentake stops opening the link. You leave the original download on when the grandparents want a file for a television. You turn downloads off when the couple wants the film to play on the page.

Ultimate lists custom expiration and password protection, and it lists branded pages. Those controls sit on a transfer. On the gallery, you pick the date, and the couple reopens the page until that date. The mother can send the grandparents the gallery link in a fresh message. They open the film from that message.

Storage for a wedding season

Use an example you might export, and keep that label on it. A ceremony master around 18 GB and a shorter film around 4 GB make 22 GB of originals. momentake counts those original files toward the quota. momentake caps an upload at 30 GB, so the 18 GB master goes up in one upload. WeTransfer's free plan allows up to 10 transfers or 3 GB in any rolling 30 days, so that example master does not fit on the free plan.

momentake Free includes 20 GB, 3 galleries, playback at 1080p, and no custom domain. The 18 GB master fits there. The 4 GB film beside it makes 22 GB, past 20 GB. Basic includes 300 GB and 4K. Thirteen copies of the 22 GB example use 286 GB, and you have 14 GB unused on Basic. Pro includes 1 TB and a custom domain. Max includes 3 TB and a custom domain. Basic, Pro, and Max include unlimited galleries.

The pricing page did not show dollar amounts without JavaScript that day, so you get no WeTransfer dollar fee in this section.

Ultimate allows unlimited transfers, up to 1 TB per transfer, custom expiration, password protection, and branded pages. Teams adds shared workspaces to Ultimate, with storage up to 5 TB. Default account storage goes up to 2 TB. Enterprise is custom, through sales. WeTransfer uses the same upload speed on the free plan and on paid plans. The week after the wedding

1. On Sunday night you send the teaser through WeTransfer.
2. On Tuesday you upload the ceremony master to a new gallery, place your logo on the page, and play the film on your phone before the couple sees it.
