Sync is for the edit team. The couple needs a page for the finished film.
Updated 9 October 2026momentake
14 days free. No card.
Your second shooter finished the card copy on Monday and dropped it in the shared folder before the drive home. You answer the Thursday text by choosing Dropbox vs momentake for wedding delivery. The couple wants the film. Their parents want it on the couch this Sunday, on a phone, at the vows. The project folder on your second monitor holds rushes and the ceremony master you exported this morning.
You used that folder for the edit. The couple wants the wedding film on a page they can reopen, with your logo and a password. momentake is that page. You upload the original, you send one link, and the parents watch in the browser. They do not create an account.
The page the couple keeps
You send the gallery link on Thursday afternoon. The couple saves it next to the photographer's site. In November they open the same page for the parents who missed the speeches. You keep bins and the export in a Dropbox tree you and the second shooter understand. The couple sees that tree if you hand them the project link.
momentake holds the wedding film as the thing on the page. You add the shorter film beside the master when you finish it on Friday. The parents press one title. You can read the wider handoff in delivering the wedding film and the file-size side of the job in sending large video files.
| Task | momentake | Dropbox |
|---|---|---|
| Page the couple reopens | A gallery for this wedding film, with your logo | A project folder or a file link from that folder |
| Playback on a phone | The couple plays the film in the browser | The couple opens a Dropbox preview or downloads the file |
| Account for the parents | The parents watch in the browser with no account | A Dropbox account, or a link you share from the folder |
| Logo on the page | Your logo on Free, Basic, Pro, and Max | Dropbox shows its own interface around the file |
| Mark on the video | No watermark on the video, and your logo on the gallery | The file itself has no Dropbox watermark, and the screen is Dropbox |
| Address of the page | A custom domain on Pro and Max | A dropbox.com link |
| Password on the handoff | You set a password and an expiry on the gallery | Plus leaves password-protected links off that row |
| Largest single handoff | You upload one file up to 30 GB | Plus lists a transfer up to 50 GB |
Playback on the couple's phone
Sunday lunch is loud, and the father holds the phone at the end of the table. momentake plays the wedding film in the browser. You do not ask him to install an app or make an account. On Free, momentake plays the film at 1080p. On Basic, Pro, and Max, momentake plays it at 4K. The mother takes the phone for the vows and hands it to the father for the recessional.
A Dropbox link on that phone opens a file view or starts a download, and the ceremony master is one row among rushes if you shared the whole folder. The gallery gives the parents the film you meant them to see. The father can pause on the vows and hand the phone to the mother. She stays on the film. You name the gallery after the couple, and that name is what they read before they press play.
Your logo, the footer, and the domain
You place your logo on the gallery on Free, Basic, Pro, and Max. The video carries no watermark. The footer reads "made with momentake", and you hide that footer on Max. On Free, Basic, and Pro the footer stays. Pro and Max include a custom domain, so the link can use an address you own. Free and Basic keep the gallery on the address momentake gives you.
The parents see your mark before the picture starts. Dropbox wraps the file in Dropbox's own chrome. The couple bookmarks the gallery, where your studio name is in view. You use the sync folder with the second shooter, and you show the family the gallery.
Password, expiry, and downloads
You set a password and an expiry date on the gallery. After that date, momentake stops opening the link. You leave the original download on if the parents want a file for a television at home. You turn downloads off if the couple wants playback on the page and no file leaving the gallery.
Dropbox leaves password-protected links off the Plus row. Plus is the $9.99 plan for one person, with 2 TB and a transfer up to 50 GB. You can share a link from a folder on that plan, and the password control is absent from that row of the price list dated 9 October 2026. On the gallery, the password and the date belong to the wedding film.
Storage for a wedding season
Picture an export you might make, and keep the label on it: this is an example, a ceremony master around 18 GB and a shorter film around 4 GB. The pair is 22 GB of originals. momentake counts those original files toward the quota. You can upload the 18 GB master because the cap is 30 GB. A Plus transfer lists a higher ceiling, up to 50 GB, and that larger cap is the Dropbox advantage on a single handoff.
Free includes 20 GB, 3 galleries, playback at 1080p, and no custom domain. The 18 GB master fits on Free. The 4 GB film beside it makes 22 GB, past the 20 GB line. Basic includes 300 GB and 4K. That 22 GB example fits thirteen times inside 300 GB, which uses 286 GB and leaves 14 GB. Pro includes 1 TB and a custom domain. Max includes 3 TB and a custom domain. Basic, Pro, and Max include unlimited galleries, so across a season you watch the quota, and each wedding can have a gallery.
Price on 9 October 2026
momentake lists Free at $0, Basic at $6.99 per month, Pro at $12.99 per month, and Max at $29.99 per month. You can start a 14-day trial, and you do not enter a card. Dropbox, on the US dollar list read on 9 October 2026, lists Plus at $9.99 per month for one person, with 2 TB and a transfer up to 50 GB. Dropbox lists Standard at $15 per user per month for one or more people, and Dropbox starts Standard storage at 3 TB with a transfer up to 100 GB. Dropbox lists Advanced at $24 per user per month for three or more people, and Dropbox starts Advanced storage at 15 TB.
You get more raw storage on Plus at $9.99 per month than on momentake Pro at $12.99 per month, and Plus lists a larger single transfer than the 30 GB upload cap. The parents open the gallery with your logo, a password, and an expiry, and they do it with no account. You keep the card copy in Dropbox for the edit. You hand the couple the gallery.
