Drive folder or a wedding client gallery

Same film, two ways to hand it over. One of them looks like your studio.

14 days free. No card.

On Monday the sister asks for a shared folder, and you have the ceremony master on the SSD. A Drive folder or a wedding client gallery can both carry that file. They do different jobs. The folder collects whatever people drop in. The gallery is the page the couple reopens for the film, with your logo. momentake publishes this note for wedding videographers.

You finished the vows export in the hotel room after midnight. The group chat wants the film before the brunch photos go up. A Drive folder would hold the photographer’s JPEGs and the film in one pile. The couple would hunt for the right file on a phone. The gallery holds the wedding film as the object on the page.

Monday in the group chat

You upload the ceremony master to a new gallery and place your logo on the page. You set a password and an expiry. You send the link to the couple, and the couple sends it on to the parents. On Wednesday you add the shorter film to the same gallery. On Saturday the parents watch both films during the thank-you lunch, from the link they saved on Monday.

The photographer drops selects into the Drive folder after the wedding. An uncle adds phone clips from the dance floor. The ceremony master sits beside a scan of the invitation. The couple asks you which file to press. On the gallery they press the title you set, Mara and Owen, 3 October.

The parents open the gallery in the browser. You do not ask them to create an account. A Drive share can be an open link or a link that asks for a Google sign-in, and you choose that inside the Google account. The full comparison, with the price list, is Google Drive for wedding films.

An example pair of files

Treat this as an example from one export. A ceremony master around 18 GB and a shorter film around 4 GB make 22 GB of originals. momentake counts those original files toward the quota. The upload cap is 30 GB, so the 18 GB master goes up as one file. The streams the couple watches stay outside the quota.

Drive, Gmail, and Photos share 15 GB on a Google account. The 18 GB example master is larger than that 15 GB. On the United States list dated 9 October 2026, Google One Basic is 100 GB at $1.99 per month, on Google One plans. The couple keeps a Google account, and a shared folder matches the habit they use for other family files.

momentake Free is $0, with 20 GB, 3 galleries, and 1080p. The 18 GB master fits on Free. The pair at 22 GB needs Basic, which is $6.99 per month, with 300 GB and 4K. Pro is $12.99 per month, with 1 TB, 4K, and a custom domain. Max is $29.99 per month, with 3 TB, 4K, and a custom domain. Basic, Pro, and Max include unlimited galleries. You can start a 14-day trial, and you do not enter a card.

Your logo is on Free, Basic, Pro, and Max. The footer reads "made with momentake". You hide that footer on Max. On Free, Basic, and Pro the footer stays. On Free the couple watches at 1080p. On Basic, Pro, and Max they watch at 4K. The mother screenshots the header because your name is on it. The logo, the footer, and the domain are in a white-label video gallery.

You set the password in the gallery settings and you send it in a second message. A forwarded link travels without the password. You turn downloads on when the parents want a file for the television. You turn downloads off when the film should play on the page. On a file link you set an expiry of 7 days, 30 days, or no end date. After the date you chose, the couple cannot open that file link.

A season of folders and a season of pages

Take three weddings in one month as an example. Each wedding can have a gallery on Basic, Pro, and Max. Thirteen copies of the 22 GB example use 286 GB, and on Basic you have 14 GB unused. Free holds 3 galleries and 20 GB. You watch the quota. The Drive folders can keep the photographer’s selects and the uncle’s clips. The galleries keep the films you finished.

On Thursday morning the sister opens the Drive folder in a coffee queue. She sees the invitation scan, three JPEGs, and a master with a name you understand. She asks which file is the film. You answer with the gallery link. She presses play in the browser and hands the phone to her mother, who is standing next to her.

On the anniversary the couple opens the pinned link from the hotel chat. The gallery shows your logo and both films in the order you set on Wednesday. The Drive folder has collected brunch photos, a florist invoice, and the uncle’s dance clip. They open the page you sent on Monday and watch the vows on the sofa.

Other folders and one-off sends

Dropbox is another folder, for the hours when you and a second shooter trade working files. The parents get the gallery. The comparison is Dropbox for wedding delivery.

WeTransfer is built for a one-off send. You use it for a teaser, one person and one download, and you send the gallery for the film the parents reopen. WeTransfer for wedding films describes that shape. The size of an 18 GB master is in sending large wedding video files.

You read the handoff from export to the two messages in delivering the wedding film. Storage, transcoding, the page, and access are in what a video delivery platform is. Plan questions are in the FAQ.

If the subscription ends

You cancel under Settings, then Plans and Billing. The subscription stays active until the paid period ends, and the couple keeps watching. After that date you get a 14-day grace period. The couple opens the link during those 14 days. momentake blocks new uploads in that window. If you do not renew, momentake removes the files and the galleries, and the couple cannot open the link.

The Drive folder, if you shared one, follows the rules of the Google account. The gallery follows the plan you pay for on momentake. On Sunday the parents watch from the link. In June they open it again. The folder can keep growing with family clips. The parents keep watching the film on the page you sent.

The coffee queue and the anniversary sofa

On Thursday the sister is third in line for coffee. She opens the Drive folder because that is the link in the family chat from Sunday night. The first rows are brunch JPEGs. The film is a file named with your project code. She writes you. You send the gallery link from Monday. She presses play while the barista calls the next order, then she hands the phone to her mother.

The mother types the password from your second message. The highlight starts. She does not download 18 GB on the café connection. The stream plays. She saves the gallery link and leaves the Drive folder for the photographer’s selects, which she wanted for a frame on the wall. Two links, two jobs.

On the anniversary the couple is on the sofa with the pinned gallery. The Drive folder now holds a florist invoice and the uncle’s clip. They do not open it. They open the page with your logo and watch the vows. The password is the one from October. You have not uploaded a new cut. The film on the page is the one you graded on Wednesday.

You keep the Drive share for the photographer, who adds selects on Tuesday. The couple does not open that share for the vows. They open the gallery. In June a cousin who missed the recessional gets the gallery link from the family chat, types the password, and watches the first dance on a train. The Drive folder that week holds a new JPEG from the brunch. The cousin does not need it.

You read both file names out loud before you send either link. Mara-Owen-Highlight.mp4 and Mara-Owen-Ceremony.mp4 are names a parent can repeat. On the gallery the same names sit under a cover from the ceremony exit and under your logo. The couple opens that page in the browser and does not create an account. The 18 GB example counts in your quota. The couple watches a stream on the phone, and a full download waits on the switch you set.
