This step-by-step guide walks you through momentake from zero: create an account, upload video, build a client gallery, and share the link. Expect about 10–15 minutes for a first project after transcoding finishes.
1. Sign up and first login
Open https://momentake.com and create a free account (email or Google). No card is required — a 14-day trial is available. After login you land on the Dashboard with quick actions, storage usage, and getting-started tips. Set your UI language under Settings → Profile if you need English or Ukrainian. Optionally add your brand name and logo under Brand so they appear on public galleries. If you arrived via a referral link, the code is stored automatically on first visit. On Free you can immediately try up to three galleries and 20 GB of storage without paying.
2. Upload video in My files
Go to My files. Drag files into the drop zone or pick them from disk. Large clips are supported (up to 30 GB per file). Use folders to separate weddings, commercial jobs, or clients. After upload, transcoding starts and progress appears in the list. Wait until status is READY before relying on gallery or player playback. The original stays in cloud storage; HLS derivatives for streaming do not count toward quota. To import from Google Drive or Dropbox, connect the cloud under Settings → Profile, then use import in My files. While a file is processing you can keep working elsewhere in the app — progress continues on the server.
3. Create a gallery and add clips
Open My galleries and create a project. Pick a template (Cinematic, Studio, or Portfolio) — you can change it later. Add videos from My files, set order, project title, and cover. In gallery settings configure accent color, fonts, client page language, brand display, and download permissions. For Cinematic you can set a hero background (image or video). Save your changes. Use the admin preview to check the look before sending it to a client.
4. Client link and access
Copy the public gallery link or open Share. Send the URL to your client — they watch in the browser with no account. Optionally enable a password and/or link expiry. Clients see a branded page with streaming up to 4K (plan-dependent). In the app you can review page views and confirmed video views. Embed the gallery or a single file on your website with the embed code. For a custom domain (for example gallery.studio.com) you need Pro or Max: add the domain under Settings → Brand and follow the DNS steps in the UI.
5. Tips after the first delivery
Save gallery defaults under Settings → Galleries so new projects start with your template and colors. Watch the storage bar — Free includes 20 GB and up to 3 galleries; Basic is 300 GB; Pro is 1 TB with custom domain; Max is 3 TB. Only originals count toward quota. Do not delete files from My files while they are still in active galleries unless you intend to remove the project. If a client requests revisions, upload a new version, wait for READY, then replace the clip in the gallery or add it beside the old one with a clear title. For wedding and studio workflows, keep one folder per client and one gallery per delivery. After the trial, pick a plan under Settings → Plans & Billing; on Pro you can connect a custom domain immediately. For more detail see Features and FAQ. Support: [email protected].

Full capability overview is under Features (product, files, galleries, delivery, account). Product change log is under Features → Releases. Common scenarios (password links, downloads, domains, plans) are covered in FAQ. Legal documents (privacy, terms, security, cookies, GDPR, subprocessors) are linked below and in the docs menu. If you deliver white-label work for an agency, configure Brand and gallery defaults first, then create client projects from the same template.
